This page will provide a review of the LifeLine AAA 300 PSI 12 Volt DC Air Compressor as well as give you a feature list and buyer’s guide. While I have made my feelings known about lower cost air compressors in my review of the VIAIR 85P Portable Air Compressor, I realize that having an air compressor with you when you need it is better than not having one when you need it.

What are the features of the LifeLine Air Compressor?
- Quick connect air hose
- 300 psi
- 10 foot power cord
- 3 nozzle adaptors included
- Air pressure gauge included
All of the features make it very easy to use and the fact that it only weighs a couple of pounds makes it very easy to take along for emergencies as well as filling up the occasional beach ball. I find that it is very slow to fill up even small items and it may take quite some time to fill up something like an air mattress.
A common complaint that I found with the LifeLine was noise. It is a very noisy little thing and it sounds like it may self destruct at any minute. Although this may be a personal issue, I did find it mentioned repeatedly when I did my initial research.

I would prefer a longer cord for larger vehicles or trailers. It is also recommended that you do not run the motor for more than 15 minutes at a time because damage may occur.
I do like the fact that an air gauge is included. While not much help with the beach ball, it is critical to have your auto tired filled to the correct pressure.
When I read the product description from the manufacturer, it says that it comes with a AAA brochure. I can’t help but wonder if they were looking hard for features if they have to dig that deep.
What is the bottom line?
The LifeLine would not be my first choice for an air compressor, emergency or otherwise. It is low on power and features and high on noise and fill time. With that said, it does do the job and is very inexpensive. I would much prefer to have this if I need air in my tire in the middle of nowhere than to not have it.
Within it’s limitations, it is worth the price.

NO this is Not a commercial air compressor, it’s meant for occasional home use and it does just fine in that capacity. Yes it takes a bit longer to fill up a tire and it makes a lot of noise for something this size. If you want something faster and quieter you can spend two to three times more. I personally don’t think it is worth it for what I use it for. Read more…

i have read all the reviews of this type of product and i’m sure glad i didn’t go over budget with this one. this thing is noisy for sure but not deafening if you are outdoor. it is slow compared to the station pump but it did a large SUV tire in ten minutes…..not bad i say. the pressure guage is accurate enough when i compared it to the pocket devices. but it is so light, small, easy to use and affordable that you have to accept a few short comingsi have read all the reviews of this type of product and i’m sure glad i didn’t go over budget with this one. this thing is noisy for sure but not deafening if you are outdoor. it is slow compared to the station pump but it did a large SUV tire in ten minutes…..not bad i say. the pressure guage is accurate enough when i compared it to the pocket devices. but it is so light, small, easy to use and affordable that you have to accept a few short comings.
